Solvalla hosted 12 Breeders Crown Sweden semi-finals leading to qualification for the November 18 finals. Each of the semis carried a first prize purse of 200,000SEK over 2140 meters autostart. The results summary follows.
Trainer Timo Nurmos sent out two winners while drivers Bjorn Goop and Orjan Kihlstrom each piloted two winners. Sires Maharajah (three winners) and Bold Eagle (two winners) topped that category.
The second fastest winner was the four-year-old stallion Bedazzled Fox (Brillantissime) timed in 1.11.8. The son of a Here Comes Herbie mare now has 15 career victories in 26 starts for owner SRF Stable and trainer Roger Walmann.
The fastest winner this day was the four-year-old Staro Mack Crowe (Bold Eagle) timed in 1.11.7kr. This son from a Gigant Neo mare won for only the fifth time in his 23-race career. Katja Melkko trains this one for Staro International and Vasby Hast AB.
Bold Eagle sired another winner in the three-year old filly Adriatica from a Super Arnie dam. This victory was her fifth in a six-race career with another time second. Timo Nurmos trains the 1.13.3kr timed winner that he co-owns with Verrazzano AB
Another tough winner was Caviar From Mine (SJās Caviar) timed in 1.12.5kr while winning a three-year-old male split for Bjorn Goop and trainer Jorgen Westholm. This colt is from a Going Kronos mare and owned by Team Westholm. He now has three career wins in 14 starts.
In the four-year-old mare split Aurelia Express scored in 1.12.4kr for Mats E. Djuse and trainer Timo Normos, the seventh career win in 19 starts for this Readly Express-Godiva Boko mare that Stall Kennys owns. She was off at 2.6/1 and bested the 2.9/1 Propulsion mare Mahala that Orjan Kihlstrom teamed for Daniel Reden.
The Father Patrick three-year old filly Ninetta Boko was a 1.13.4kr timed winner at 2.6/1 again with Kihlstrom driving, this time for trainer Erwin Bit and Gerrits Recycling Group BV. This was her fifth career victory in 18 starts and the fifth win in her last seven outings.
Another speedy winner was A Fair Day (Maharajah) in 1.11.9kr in a four-year-old make split. This gelding is from a Glen Kronos mare and was driven by Oscar Ginman for owner and trainer Elisabeth Almheden. She now has 11 career wins in 23 starts and the last four starts are all victories.
