Three-year-olds shine at Firenze

Falco Killer Gar (3m Varenne-Zuwara Gar-Maharajah) stopped the harness racing timer in 1.12.7kr to win the Premio Etruria Male (purse 37,400€, 2020 meters autostart, eight starters) at Firenze, Italy on Sunday, March 17.

The 1.6/1 odds favorite was reined by trainer Alessandro Gocciador from post four, Fabio Bi (3m Manofmanymissions-Rooge Bi-Varenne) was second with Mauro Biasuzzi driving for his Az.Agr. Biasuzzi Srl. Fellow Wise As (3m Maharajah-Ladyone) took third money.

In the Premio Etruria Female (purse 37,400€, 2020 meters autostart, 12 starters) the 1.13.3kr clocked winner was 1.7/1 odds Funny Gio (3f Face Time Bourbon-Amazing Gio-Royalty For Life-Ilaria Jet-Pine Chip) from post seven with Alessandro Gocciadoro the driver/trainer Bivans Srl. The 9/4/1 Fan Idole VF (3f Ideale Luis-Raffle LF) was second for “Pippo” Gubellini and 14.2/1 Funny Girl (3f Vitruvio-Verde Milanga-Love You) finished third.

The prior day at Roma Capanelle the Premio Pulpetum (purse 12,650€, 1640 meters autostart) went to 1.12.1kr timed and 2.2/1 odds Ector Francis (4m Nad Al Sheba-Pandaz di Mazual-Love You) with a front stepping journey. The engineer was Gaetano Di Nardo.
