Oneghin del Ronco wins Prix Locatelli

February 15, 2015 – Today’s harness racing action in Italy was led by the Prix Locatelli (Gr. II, €45,100, 1600 meters autostart) at Torino with the 1.13.7kr victory by the lanky sorel Oneghin del Ronco (7m Love You – Talia del Ronco – Park Avenue Joe), his 21st in 67 career starts. He defeated Rodeo Drive OK (5f Conway Hall – Georgia Pines – Pine Chip) with Andrea Guzzinati aboard with third to Owen CR (7m Cantab Hall – Boemia CD – Lemon Dra) with Pietro Gubellini.

Favored Mack Grace SM (9m CC’s Chuckie T – Ambro Gace SM – Armbro Goal) was fourth after a front end trip for Roberto Andreghetti, a 55 time winner in 105 starts for eanings esceeding €1.59 million. He faded late after strong pressure in the final quarter by the winner.

At Napoli, their Prix www.Gaet.it Invitational (€13,200, 1600 meters autostart) went to Skyline Dany (4m Varenne – Celeste PL – Lemon Dra) with G.P Minnucci up. The winner now of 9 races in 22 starts was clocked in 1.12.1kr. Style by Lions (4m Southwind Vernon – Web Fish-Self Confident) was second.
