Trio of rich stakes held at Enghien

A trio of co-feature races were on stage this day (July 8) at Enghien under blue skys.

The Prix de la Manche (purse 90,000€, 2875 meters distance handicap, European 5-10 year olds) went to the 16/1 odds rallying Decoloration (9g Prince d’Espace-Maradadi Buissonay) with Gabriele Gelormini up.

The 1.12.2kr timed winner overcame a 25-meter handicap to win for the 19th time in her career for 596,160€ earned, J, M Baudouin trains and owns Decoloration. Fire Cracker (7g Quaro) was second at 11/1 and a 25-meter handicapped with Anthony Barrier up for trainer A,H, Rubin and Ecurie La Pinsonniere. 18/1 Deese Noire (9g Neoh Viel) was third with P.Y. Verva at the lines.

In the Prix de Rome (Gr. III, purse 80,000€, 2150 meters autostart, European three year olds) the 4.2/1 odds Jaguar Wit (3m Eridan-Vauaga) scored in 1.11.0kr for driver Matthieu Abrivard, trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Sebastian DeWulf. This was his fourth career win now for 118,330€ earned.

Second was 1.8/1 favorite Januca Somolli (3f Tropic Jet-Lanku Somolli) with Gabriel Gelormini teaming the J.P. Fichaux trainee. The 6.7/1 Jasmin du Vallon (3m Royal Dream) was home third with Adrian Lamy up for trainer Tomas Malmqvist.

In the Gr. III Prix du Louvre (purse 80,000€, 2875 meters for European 4-5 year olds) the 1.4/1 odds favorite Have A Dream (5m Royal Dream-Story Charm) scored handily in 1.12.8kr for trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard.

The JPB Horses owned campaigner was bred by Jean Philippe Dubois and he now has four career wins for 215,990€ earned.

Sahara Jaeburn (5m Ready Cash-El Angelic) was second at 7.6/1 odds for reinsman Francois Lagadeuc, trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Petra Huhti. Third home was 14/1 Heraut d’Armes (5m Ready Cash-Statue of Liberty) with Nicolas Bazire up for owner New Blue I LLC and trainer JMB.
