Trotting features at Vincennes and Cagnes

At Paris-Vincennes this day was the Prix Salem (monte, purse 71,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters ages 5-6 years) and 1.3/1 odds favorite Illenc des Bosc (6g Dollar Macker-Riviere d’Oliverie) prevailed timed in 1.13.4kr over a rain-soaked course.

Mathieu Mottier was in the irons and he trains the winner for Bernardo Pereraferrer. Illenc now has seven wins in 17 career starts for earnings of 185,950€.  Jimako Verderie (5g Bilibili-Utina Verderie) was second at 9/1 odds with jockey Clement Frecelle in control for trainer Bertrand Le Beller and Ecurie d’Embeli. Ivanof (6g Apprenti Sorcier) was third ridden by Eric Raffin.

At Cagnes sur Mer was the Gr. III Prix Pierre Desiree Allaire (purse 80,000€, 2925 meters. 12 European starters ages 7-11) and 1.3/1 odds favorite Epsom d’Herfraie (10g Rieussec-Thetris d’Herfraie-Hulk des Champs) lived up to his backing with an easy 1.13.2kr score by two plus lengths. Louis Baudouin teamed the J.M. Baudouin for Ecurie le Rivage. The winner recorded his 20^th career win in 58 starts for 518,500€ earned. Second was 3.9/1 Eden Basque (10g Songalo-Janga) with trainer Nicolas Ensch drivi9ng for Ecurie Castagniccia. Third home was 2.2/1 odds Eric The Eel (8m Muscle Hill-Laurel America-Varenne) that Franck Ouvrie teamed for Tomas Malmqvist and Stall Panamera Racing.

Yesterday at Vincennes there was interesting racing in heavy rain and the sloppy course. In the Prix de Pontault-Combault (purse 40,000€, 2700 meters, 14 starters all four-year old females) the 8.5/1 odds Kaza Rock (4f Face Time Bourbon-Verbalisee) scored in 1.15.7kr for driver/owner/trainer Julien Dubois. This was her first career victory and she has earned 39,130€. This small slick gaited mare defeated 4.1/1 Kella Madrik (4f Bolero Love) with Franck Nivard up for trainer Thierry Raffegeau.

In the Prix de Corlay (purse 41,000€, 2700 meters, 16 European six-year-old starters) the 1.6/1 odds favorite Indy de Salsa (6g Real de Lou-Salsa du Lupin) scored in 1.14.2kr. Matthieu Abrivard drove and trains this four-time career winner for Mme. Antoine Wiels. Indy has earned 81,110€.  The 5.7/1 Oscar Van Halbeek (6g The Bank) was second with Franck Ouvrie up for Suzanne Lavigne, the trainer/owner. Charles OP (6m Mack Grace SM) was third at 20/1 odds for Nicolas Bazire, trainer Jean Michel Bazire and Yannick Desmet.

As the rain subsided the 7.4/1 odds Kataki de Wallis (4m Charly du Noyer-Valley Charm) secured victory in the Prix de Blains-Bouvron Le Gavre (purse 62,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 11 starters all four-year olds). Timed in 1.11.9kr the A.A. Chavatte teamed winner for has three career wins and 92,640€ earned for trainer Alain Chavatte and owner Tramontom Srl. Koctail Wood (4m Brutus de Bailly) was second for Matthieu Abrivard driving for Bruno Bourgoin at 12/1. Kyoto Digeo (4m Clif du Pommereux-Tzarine de Ginai) landed third at 7.9/1 for L.M. David the owner/trainer/driver.
