Truman Dairpet triumphs at Vincennes

Truman Dairpet (8g Biosolo-Heloise Poterie) won today’s Quinte+ (jackpot €3.4 million) feature at Paris-Vincennes, the Prix Bernard de Quellec (purse €68,000, 2700 meters, 18 European starters).

Trainer Nicolas Ensch drove the winner for owner Ecurie du Haras de l’Epinau. Off at 9.6/1 Truman Dairpet was timed in 1.12.9kr to defeat 10/1 Ultimate du Rib (7g Dahir de Prelong-Kara Pellois) driven by J.L.Cl. Dersoir, trainer Joel Hallais and Ecurie Rib. 6.6/1 Tess de Villeneuve (8f Goetmals Wood-Joie de Villeneuve) finished third for teamster David Thomain. Conrads Fredrik and favorite Teatro ended fourth and fifth.

Currency is owned by Ecurie le Tremont and trained by Fabrice Souloy. 13.5/1 Cilaria Paradise (3f Sam Bourbon-Nisis Williams) was third for Christophe Martens, trainer Vincent Martens and owner Ceke Farm Bvba.The Prix de Taverny (€62,000, 2700 meters, 15 starters) at Vincennes produced 1.15.3kr timed winner Cylee Nevele (3f Sam Bourbon-Quick Nevele) at 5.4/1 odds. David Thomain drive Cylee Nevele for trainer/owner Philippe Allaire in the defeat of 1.7/1 favorite Currency (3f Orlando Vici-Precious of Fee) with Franck Nivard up.

Braga (4f Oiseau de Feux-Quelle Joie) won the Prix de Narbonne (purse €55,000, 2700 meters, 12 starters) at 5/1 odds and clocked in 1.15.2kr. Trainer Pierre Vercruysse teamed the winner for owner J.M.A. Roussel, on the good Vincennes undercard.

The Prix de Mehun Sur Yevre (purse €50,000, 2100 meters autostart, 18 European starters) went to fast-closing 28/1 Vasco de Viette (6g Capriccio-Nonette Tivoli) clocked in 1.11.8kr and reined by Gabriel Gelormini. 5/1 Maffioso Face (6g Revenue-Nouchka) was second for Mathieu Abrivard.

This one is trained by Lutfi Kolgjini for Ecurie Folk and Fa HB (Sweden). 27/1 Ah Quel Micha (5m Rocklyn-Oceane du Phare) was third driven by Jean-Philippe Dubois and trained by Philippe Moulin for Ecurie Victoria Dreams.

Roi du Lupin Wins Gr. III Test at Amiens

Veteran classmaster Roi du Lupin (10g Fleuron Perrine-Helia de Saint Pol) took Wednesday’s featured Gran Prix de la Federation Regionale du Nord (Gr. III, purse €100,000, 2400 meters, 10 starters) at Amiens with J-M Bazire driving for trainer J-P Marmion.

The winner scored by two lengths clocked in 1.12.7kr over a rain-soaked surface, his 31^st win in 96 starts. His career earnings exceed €2.1 million. Roi du Lupin was off at 7.8/1 odds.

Lindberg AB. 15/1 Titeuf de Monts (8g Legs du Clos-Gladys du Capri) was second for Franck Nivard ahead of 8.5/1 Trinite du Mont (8f Hugo Barbes-Ozo du Mont) and Eric Raffin.
