This was the maiden win for Lucky Piya that was timed in a sharp 1.15.6kr. Lutuan de Beylev (2m Rolling d’Heripre) was second at 10/1 with Teddy Calo driving and 3/1 Lovely Dream (2m Bird Parker-Family Dream) was third for trainer/driver Ric Joly. This one was bred by Jean Philippe Dubois as was fourth finishing 1.3/1 Le Gentleman (2m Prodigious-Giant Celebrity).
The females battled in the Prix des Hirondelle (purse 18,000€, 2050 meters autostart, two-year old fillies) and 5.1/1 Ladames (2f Cristal Money-Badames) scored in 1.16.1kr. David Thomain teamed this L.C Abrivard trainee for owner Jean Pierre Barjon. Love Letter (2f Royal Dream) was second at 4.6/1 odds with owner/trainer/driver Julien Dubois aboard. Lisbonne (2f Ouragon de Celland) landed third at 4.1/1 reined by Herve Langlois for trainer Sebastien Guarato.
