Solvalla hosts Margareta’s Early Young Trot Series

Alessandro Gocciadoro teamed his harness racing trainee Unica SLM (3f Googoo Gaagaa-Una Blessed-Varenne) to a 1.15.2kr timed and 1.6/1 odds victory in the Margareta’s Early Young Filly (purse 25,800€ to the winner, 2140 meters autostart, three-year old fillies) at Solvalla, Sweden.

Caselle Girolamo owns the unbeaten two race career winner.  Dahlia Brodde (3f Maharajah) was second at 7.3/1 odds with Rikard N. Skoglund driving. Third was 34.2/1 Marjons Mio (3f Donato Hanover) handed by Johan Wiman.

In the C.TH Ericssons Memorial (purse to winner 43,000€, Gr II International raced over 2140 meters autostart) on the Solvalla card went to 5.1/1 Phoenix Photo (10g Super Photo Kosmos-Glittra OD-Igor Brick) timed in 1.11.1kr.

The 5.1/1 odds winner was handled by Bjorn Goop for Emilie Pettersson as he won for the 10^th time in 60 career starts. Chapuy (10g Quite Easy) was second for trainer/driver Ake Lindblom at 95.1/1 odds with 17.1/1 Axel Rude (7g Formula One) third with Ulf Eriksson driving. The 1.4/1 odds heavy favorite High On Pepper (6g Ready Cash) held for fourth with Jorma Kontio aboard, this after eight straight wins.

In the STL Silver (purse to winner 21,500€, 2140 meters autostart) the 1.11.8kr timed dead heat was between 4.7/1 Combat Fighter (5g From Above-Days Of Glory-Easy Lover) with Erik Adielsson driving for trainer Anders Svansted and 1.5/1 Danao Degli Dei (5m Mago d’Amore-Orleans OM-SJs Caviar) handled by Alessandro Gocciadoro for trainer Adrian Kolgjini. Capturing third was 32.2/1 Corazon de B (6g SJs Caviar) piloted by Per Lennartsson.

The fastest winner on the card was 1.09.8kr by 8.9/1 odds Betting Pacer (7f Maharajah-Peignoir-Fast Photo) in the STL Mares Elite (18,920€ to winner, 1640 meters autostart). Bjorn Goop drove and trains the now 11-time winner in 45 appearances. Finishing second was 2.2/1 Felicia Zet (6f Ready Cash) reined by Orjan Kihlstrom with third to 3.2/1 Dea Sprint Bar (5f Muscle Hill) with Alessandro Gocciadoro the reinsman

Earlier the Margaretas Three-Year-Old Male (purse to winner 25,800€, 2140 meters autostart) went to 2.3/1 odds favorite Omerta Boko (3m Face Time Bourbon-Artic Model-Classic Photo) timed in 1.13.9kr for Michel F. Rothengarter.

It was announced this day that Joviality will join the Elitloppet 2024 invitees. The former Dan Patch award winner in the USA raced very well during the Vincennes Winter Meet and the shorter distance will favor her.
