The 5/10 odds favorite Ubi du Lupin (6g Scipion du Goutier-Tina d’Hermes) rallied to capture the Gr. III Grand Prix SC Immobilier Equestre at Bordeaux Racecourse in France (April 29) (purse 64,000€, 2650 meters distance handicap, 12 starters) timed in 1.13.5kr.
Antoine Wiels teamed the J.P. Marmion bred/owned/trained campaigner that overcame a 25-meter handicap. Ino now has 19 wins in 25 career starts for 453,660€ earned.
Hiwi Roco (7g Kiwi) held second for driver Frederic Crozier and trainer Yannick Henry off at 6.9/1 odds. Third to the line was 14/1 Fakir de Mahey (9m Reve de Beylev) was third for Mathieu Mottier the driver/trainer, also handicapped 25 meters. Entre Amis (10g Saxo de Vandel) was fourth at 11.5/1 odds for trainer/driver Christophe Feyte.
At Forgeres (April 28) was the third leg of Trophee Vert named the Grand Prix de Trot Ville de Forgeres. Raced over 3200 meters distance handicap on the turf, 15 trotteurs ages 8-10 competed for the 50,000€ purse. The 50-meter handicapped and 7.9/1 odds Enzo d’Essarts (10g Royal Dream-Quolia de Feugeres) scored narrowly for trainer/driver Rudolphe Lagadeuc and owner/breeder Ecurie d’Essarts.
This was the winner’s 15th career victory in 59 starts for 427,860€ earned. Time was not reported. Falco du Hamel (9g Queroan de Jay) was second at 61/1 odds with Louis Baudouin aboard for owner/trainer Emmanuel Varin. The 25-meters handicapped, and 14/1 odds Gala de Crennes (8g Opus Viervil) took third with J.P. Maillard aboard, finishing ahead of 2.5/1 favorite Horace du Goutier (7m Ready Cash) with Hughes Monthule abord for Sebastien Guarato that also faced a 25-meter penalty.

The May 5 Finlandia Ajo at Helsinki also has a fine field that includes the Nikola Jokic owned Catullo Jet that trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro will drive. He will face Hail Mary for the Reden barn and Frode Hamre’s Stoletheshow.
At Rattvik on Friday the well-regarded Francesco Zet makes his first 2024 start in race eight from post one. It’s a weak field setup for the SWE champion to get back in action.
