US Consortium buys Solvalla sale topper for $315,000

At the Solvalla Yearling Sale 2025 on Tuesday evening (Aug. 19) at Solvalla, the top price was 3 million SEK – or $315,000, which American PCW Racing LLC from Delray Beach, FL paid for the colt Oil Jack sired by Ready Cash and out of Eddiction, a Cantab Hall-sister to Muscle Hill.

An American consortium is behind the purchase, and the plan is for Oil Jack, who is entered in all major American races, to be trained in the USA.

The average price at the auction fell by 10% compared to last year’s record auction and was 377,255 SEK – or $39,400.
