Vernissage Grif powers to 660,000€ 74th GP Lotteria triumph

Vernissage Grif (9m Varenne-Dalia Gar-Park Avenue Joe), off at 3.2/1 odds from post two, ground his way to victory in the harness racing finale of the 74^th GP Lotteria (purse 660,000€, 1600 meters autostart) timed in 1.09.6kr (mile rate 1:52.0) and reined by his trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro.

He was a length winner from 7.8/1 Bleff Dipa (6m Mister JP-Preziosa JW-Let’s Go) with Roberto Vecchione aboard for trainer Holger Ehlert. Third in the finale was 3/1 Capital Mail (5m Nad Al Sheba-Unicono Golden) and pilot Gabriele Gelormini for trainer Fabrice Souloy.

Bepi Bi, Usain Toll and Chance EK finished fourth through sixth. Vivid Wise As tired after a three wide attempt from the back failed.

In the Lotteria Consolations (purse 33,000€, 1600 meters autostart) the 2.3/1 odds Banderas Bi (6m Ganymede-Ide Grandi-Toss Out) reached the front from post three at the halfway point and carried to a track record victory in 1.09.4kr (mile rate 1:51.67) with Roberto Vecchione catch driving for trainer Alessandro Goccoadoro.

The 10.9/1 Verdon WF (9m Raja Mirchi-Inghilterra OM-Lemon Dra) held second with Andrea Guzzinayi the pilot. Finishing third was 26.5/1 Callisto (5m Nad Al Sheba) with V.P. dell’Annunziata aboard. The winner’s time erased the prior track mark of 1.10.1kr set earlier in batteria three by Vernissage Grif.

The 1.9/1 odds favorite Vernissage Grif took batteria (heat) three of the 74th GP Lotteria at Napoli Agnano (purse of batteria 25,300€, 1600 meters autostart) in 1.10.1kr, which rewrote the track record at the time.

Trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro reined the veteran to a three-length score from post eight over 2.85/1 Bleff Dipa (6m Mister JP-Preziosa JW-Let’s Go) with Roberto Vecchione up for trainer Holger Ehlert. The 26/1 Belzebu’ Jet (6m Wishing Stone-Otero Jet-Pine Chip) took third for Vicenzo Luongo.  Callisto (5m Nad Al Sheba) was fourth for V.P. dell’Annunziata with firth to Verdon WF (9m Raja Mirchi) for Andrea Guzzinati.

The purse of the batterias is €25,300 and the distance is 1600 meters autostart.

The 1.55/1 odds Capital Mail (5m Nad Al Sheba-Unicona Golden-Varenne) rallied to win the second GP Lotteria batteria from post five, timed in a sharp 1.10.9kr and racing with shoes on.

Gabriele Gelormini teamed the Fabrice Souloy trainee. Bepi Bi (6m Donato Hanover-Lorraine Bi-Lemon Dra) at 2.8/1 was second for Andrea Guzzinati as the brother to Twister Bi was about one and a half lengths back of the handy winner. The 30/1 Chance EK (5f Nad Al Sheba-Ukase EK-Mago d’Amore) landed third handled by Pietro Gubellini. Fourth home was 16.2/1 Bambin (6m Neste Effe) and fifth was 38/1 veteran Vaprio (9m Adrian Chip).

Usain Toll (7g Googoo Gaagaa-Cotton Waste-Smok N Lantern) was a 5.4/1 odds gate to wire winner of the first batteria.

 V.P. dell-Annunziata reined the winner for Team Ciotola. Vivid Wise As (9m Yankee Glide-Temple Blue Chip-Cantab Hall) off at 1.15/1 odds was a game death seat second for Matthieu Abrivard and 11/1 Bythebook (7g Googoo Gaagaa-Stellar Value-Viking Kronos) was third for Alessandro Gocciadoro ahead of Banderas Bi and Achille BLV. Race time was a rated 1.13.1kr.
