Young trotteurs were on harness racing stage at Enghien in France (August 8) this day beginning with the Prix de la Porte d’Asnieres (purse 35,000€, 2875 meters volte start, nine three-year-old males).
Here the 2.1/1 odds Ledzep (3m Ready Cash-Ballina d’Ourville-Quaker Jet) rallied to score in 1.15.2kr racing past the game pacesetter 3.6/1 Lewis River (3m Eridan-After River-Quaker Jet). Yoann Lebourgeois teamed the winner for breeder/owner/trainer Philippe Allaire to his second career victory in three appearances.
The second finishing Lewis River was driven by Paul Philippe Ploquin for trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Sebastien Dewulf. Le Porto (3m Davidson du Pont-Comaline d’Orcent-Coktail Jet) rallied for third with trainer Romain Derieux aboard for breeder/owner Mauricette DeSousa.

In the Prix de la Porte de Montreuil (purse 38,000€, 2250 meters, eight two-year-old starters) the real youngsters, age two, battled with Team Baudron shining brightly. The 9/1 Maggy Jenilou (2f Follow You-Enigme Jenilou-Royal Dream) scored at 9/1 odds with Alexandre Abrivard driving the Louis Baudron trainee that Nicolas Baudron bred and owns. This was her first career victory on her third try. Race time was 1.18.7kr.
Mavista (2f Brillantissime-Vista Wood-Goetmals Wood) finished second for owner/trainer/driver Julien Dubois with Nicolas Baudron the breeder. Mavista was the 1.2/1 favorite. Miss Jenilou (2f Helgafell-Agreable Jenilou-Quaker Jet) took third for breeder/owner/trainer/driver Louis Baudron and she was off a 22/1 longshot.

Aged performers then contested the Prix de la Concorde (purse 75,000€, 2875 meters, 11 European starters ages 7-11) with 3.2/1 Espace Winner (10g Prince d’Espace-Fanfveluche du Rib) the winner timed in 1.13.6kr with Alexandre Abrivard at the lines for Olivier Ponzio and trainer L.C. Abrivard. Espace Winner won for the 16th time in 63 starts for 443,350€ earned.
Hidalgo des Noes was second for Gabriele Gelormin at 13/1 and Grez at 10/1 odds landed third with Mathieu Mottier aboard.
