On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE RACE
The making of a millionaire standardbred! It’s not often a harness racer passes the magic million dollar mark in career earnings. WATCH as Southwind Ozzi salutes at Harrah’s Philadelphia last Friday to bring up that magnificent milestone.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE RACE
The Dunstan Feeds Sires Stake Fillies Championship (150k) took place at Alexandra Park on New Year’s Eve. The strong field was headlined by the Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen trained True Fantasy. Early speed in the race made for an interesting affair, as they turned for home it looked to be a two horse war. WATCH the replay as a class filly takes control.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE RACE
This “Lady” can fly! Amanda Rando covered the Vicbred Super Series final last week which saw Ladies In Red add to her amazing racing accomplishments with a stunning effort. WATCH as the tough filly digs in the for fight over the final furlong to snare another memorable win.
We’ll be back next week for another look into Race Replays of the Week.
