Plainville, MA — A pair of $22,000 upper-level conditioned harness racing events topped the Tuesday (April 29) afternoon card at Plainridge Park and both were won by the driver/trainer/owner combination of Brett Beckwith, Jeff Cullipher and Pollack Racing.

Seven Sins and driver Brett Beckwith

The trotters went postward first and Seven Sins (Tall Dark Stranger) tripped-out to his third win of the year.

Seven Sins sat a pocket trip behind the front-running Remember Titans (Drew Monti) who gave a parking ticket to Yucatan Party Man (Mitchell Cushing) through quarters of :28 and :57.3. As they made their way to three-quarters, Yucatan Party Man began to fade, but Four Sixes (Nick Graffam) made a charge at the leader and pushed the issue during the :27.3 third panel.

Four Sixes then made a break at the top of the last turn and that left Seven Sins a clear path out of the box, who then took direct aim at Remember Titans and ran him down by a 1-½ lengths at the wire to win in 1:55.4.

SEVEN SINS REPLAY

Seven Sins paid $7.40.

Later when the pacers lined up, Sport Secret took no prisoners and dominated while posting the fastest pacing mile of the meet.

Sport Secret and driver Brett Beckwith

Sport Secret seated Grey Horizon (Mitchell Cushing) and Naturally Gifted A (Kevin Switzer Jr.) before taking command of the race and leading the single-file field through quarters of :27.1, :55.4 and 1:22.4. After making his way around the final bend with no serious challenges, Sport Secret reached the top of the stretch, shifted gears and paced away under wraps by 2-½ lengths to win in 1:50.2.

SPORT SECRET REPLAY

Sport Secret returned $4.00.

Brett Beckwith also ended the day as the leading driver after getting his third win with Shadows Shadow (1:54.4, $3.40) to score the hat trick in the bike.

Racing resumes at Plainridge Park on Thursday (May 1) at 4 p.m. when the track will host a Grand Circuit event, the $100,000 Paul Revere Stake for 3-year-old pacers.
