On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 7th February)
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
The Hunter cup has long been a highlight on the Australasian harness racing calendar. Amanda Rando covered the 2022 running of the event last weekend which saw the undeniably brilliant King Of Swing once again prevail in this great race.
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE
Steve Wolf covered a gloomy Yonkers Raceway victory of dragon Roll on Thursday. The replay is a memorable for the fact that it’s pretty hard to make anything of the race! Do your best to watch the action as they head for home in the 1.54 effort.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
It’s back to the grass for our New Zealand feature this week with the running of the Amberley Cup of 2022. While the mid-race tempo was slow the last 400m was all about who could let down with the best sprint late. Watch as Blair Orange urges Chal Patch on towards victory here.
