On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

AMERICAN REPLAY
Steve Wolf reported on some action from Miami Valley Raceway last week, commenting on the achievements of the stallion Carbine (Somebeachsomewhere) as he took out another Open Pace feature in a slick time of 1.49.4 The performance follows on from a strong effort the week prior when tied in a tussle with Rockin Speed. Watch the action below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Codename Cigar Box turned into codename winner on Saturday at Woodbine Park and that’s where Nicholas Barnsdale picked up the story for Harnesslink.com The son of Custard The Dragon proved more than competitive up in grade, managing to lead through and hold off challenges in the run home to secure the win at big odds of 18/1.Codename Cigar Box pushed his lifetime earnings to $504,523 with the win.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Bruce Stewart reported on the Marlborough meeting for us over the weekend with one runner in particular showing some great form over the circuit. Muscle Bank (Muscle Hill) once again scoring impressively after a strong effort and victory on the first day of the 2-day circuit. A late burst from a nice sit throughout the last lap saw Muscle Bank unwind down the straight. Watch the great grass track action below.
EUROPEAN REPLAY
Thomas H. Hicks reported on the European feature, the 700,000€ Prix de Cornulier, on the 21st. The major race, a Monte, was won by the 21/1 shot in Esperanza Idole, who found enough late in the contest to score by a slender margin. You can watch the action, courtesy of LeTrot TV. below.
