On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

USA REPLAY
Steven Wolf doesn’t mind reporting on a track record and that’s exactly what he was called to do on Saturday as Winner’s Bet (Walner) took to the Meadowlands track and scorched it up, setting a new record mark in the $50,000 Graduate Trot division. The winning effort, a 1:49.3,lowered the previously record – set by the same animal, just a week before! A flying type for sure. Watch the new mark and replay below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Merigo Magic has the record on repeat at the moment, the son of Tobago Cays making it five in a row by winning once again on Saturday in Atlantic Sires Stakes action at Northside Downs, Nicholas Barnsdale covered the action with the winner posting a 1:58.1.to see off both Check Your Chip and Pauls Crown. Merigo Magic is now 10-for-15 lifetime with $71,890 in earnings.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Home from Australia and straight into winning mode once again. Bruce Stewart reported on a triumphant return to the track for Simone Lindenny (Love You) on the weekend. The well-travelled type spearing through to win at Wyndham on Saturday while being driven by Kerryn Tomlinson. The win meaning she has now won 11 races, a number of these while being raced on Australia soil.
