On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 28th February)
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE
The Claim To Fame final was run and won on Thursday last week at Miami Valley. In the end a 1.52 effort proved too slick for Levi as he mastered race rivals in the $35’000 feature. Coverage included here.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
The $200,000 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Mile ( Ladyship Mile ) was contested at Menangle last week with Stylish Memphis cementing her reputation as one of the top mares that we’ve seen in Australia for some time. Amanda Rando covered the magic night at the track.
EUROPEAN FEATURE
The Prix de Paris Marathon Race at Vincennes is really something to view! As the name suggested this feature is about the ability to cover a extreme 4150metre distance. This year the field was one of high quality including Etonnant and Davidson du Pont. Watch the coverage from LeTrot here.
We’ll be back for the next round of harness replays of the week in seven days time.
