On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Everybody wants to know just how good Petracca is. For now the suggestions would be very good indeed! Trained by Emma Stewart’s the colt by Captaintreacherous made easy work of his race rivals at Melton on Saturday clearing out to win by a large margin in the IRT Australia Shakamaker Classic. A bright prospect for the future this one.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
It’s a busy time in the New Zealand harness racing calendar with plenty of feature racing taking place at the moment. On Friday night Cranbourne announced himself (if he hadn’t already) as a top class pacer who seemingly isn’t afraid of anything if finding the front of his races. Watch the tough, brave, son of Sir Lincoln make them all hurt late as he heads for home in the 1980m Free-For-All mobile feature.
We’ll be back with more race replays of the week next week
