On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 6th December)
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE RACE
Amanda Rando of harnesslink covered the Southern Cross Finals night from Globe Derby on Saturday. The feature card saw many highlights with a standout performance being the race record set by Encipher in the 2yr-old Fillies Final. Watch the daughter of Captaintreacherous burn up the track here.
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE RACE
The Harvest Final at Woodbine Mohawk Park took place on the 4th of December and provided an upset in the form of a 25-1 longshot Just Daisy. Watch Chris Christoforou guide the filly home in great time here!
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE RACE
NZ Cup winner Copy That continued his winning ways at Alexandra Park on Friday night. Driven by Maurice McKendry the son of American Ideal flew late to nab a gutsy Hot And Treacherous. Watch the 1.54 effort here with a great late bid for the line!
Harnesslink will be back next Tuesday with the next installment of Race Replays of the Week.
