On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 7th of June)
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE
The wonderful career of JL Cruze continued on a winning note last Friday at The Meadowlands when the star performer prevailed in their high-end conditioned harness racing trot. Corey Callahan guided the son of Crazed to the win in a slick 1:53.2. Watch the replay below.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
The Bluff Cup took place at Invercargill yesterday and saw a large, competitive field take to the track to contest the 2200m mobile feature. It proved a war of attrition with Mogul setting a solid tempo in the lead. In the end the improved type in American Eyretime arrived in time to take the win in a touch over 2.41. Watch the replay below.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Terry Gange reported on the fitting Maryborough win of Rock Nien last week as the John Justice driven pacer won impressively just days after his mother Josie Justice passed away. The use of both gate-speed, and the presence of mind to find the trail, proving the winning of the race.
We’ll be back for more race replays at the same time next week
