On North American tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE RACE
Amanda Rando of Harnesslink covered the Inter Dominion finals night at Menangle on Saturday. The Inter Dominion pacing and trotting finals most probably represent the pinnacle of harness racing features across both New Zealand and Australia. The pacing final provided plenty of drama this time around with late interference leading to a protest and change of victor. WATCH it all play out here.
NORTH AMERICAN FEATURE RACE
A world record performance should always be something worth watching and this effort from Amigo Volo deserves to be included this week. The Jason Bartlett driven son of Father Patrick scorched around the Yonkers track to post a new mark.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE RACE
The Methven Trotting Club had their “Green Mile” feature races on Sunday with two fields of high quality horses going around over the sprint distances on the green surface. Watch as some of the best in the country battled it out late on the slow going here.
We’ll be back next week for the next round of Race Replays for the Week
