On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 26th of June)
AMERICAN FEATURE
The class artist that is Tattoo Artist was once again back to winning ways at Saratoga Raceway on Saturday, winning the rich $250,000 Joe Gerrity Jr. Memorial Invitational Pace. Driven by Wall Hennessey, Tattoo Artist found the shortcuts on the way home to snare a close victory. Watch the replay below.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported for Harnesslink.com on Truro Raceway action from Saturday. The racing included a track record effort from Acefortyfour Dome in the Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares Series. You can watch the flying mare here.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
The Australian feature the Grand Circuit Blacks A Fake Championship was contested at Albion Park on Saturday night. Amanda Rando covered the event for Harnesslink with Majestic Cruiser claiming a memorable victory. The only real surprise possibly being the quote that the class pacer started the race with – that being a long $17.
We’ll be back with more replays of the week in seven days time
