On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 14th of August)
AMERICAN FEATURE
The Dan Patch is a major race in the North American harness racing calendar and the 2022 running of the event attracted a cracking field of in-form performers. Bulldog Hanover, that flying machine, proved too strong for his race rivals when driven by Dexter Dunn. Watch the race replay below.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on some feature racing from Century Downs during the weekend. Among the titles decided was the Gord and Illa Rumpel Memorial for three-year-old pacing fillies. The feature proved to be a truly run affair with Divine Art producing a divine performance to take the title from a game Chaste Forever. Watch the replay below.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Star pacer Honolua Bay is on a winning streak! The now Emma Stewart trained runner is undefeated since joining the barn and once again made the race rivals hurt in the Westburn Grant Free-For-All at Melton on Saturday night. Tango Tara and Torrid Saint made up the trifecta. The win ensures that a Inter Dominion campaign is now a very likely target. Watch the replay below.
We’ll be back in seven days time with more race replays of the week.
