Race replays of the week

On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 14th of August)

AMERICAN FEATURE

The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono hosted their major $2.4M Sun Stakes Saturday race day last week with a plethora of feature racing taking place on the card. One of the features, the Max C. Hempt Memorial Pace, saw a class field battle things out. In the end Beach Glass proved too strong for race rivals in a slick 1.50. Watch the replay below.

CANADIAN FEATURE

The $100,000 Gold Cup and Saucer took place at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday. The major feature saw the flying Sintra return to his winning ways, taking out the feature in a fine display, his margin of victory a little over 5 lengths. No Plan Intended (Jody Jamieson) and Rhodena Road (Brett MacDonald) made up the top three positions. Watch the replay below.

AUSTRALIAN FEATURE 

Amanda Rando reported on the $103,990 QBRED Triad Final from Albion Park on Saturday night. The feature saw the impressive Jewel Melody capture her fourth Group 1 win in 11 starts. Among her feature race wins are the Bathurst Gold Tiara, the Australian Pacing Gold Final and the Albion Park Gold Final. watch the replay below.
