On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 2nd of October).
CANADIAN FEATURE
In Woodbine Mohawk action No Angel Like Me (Archangel) proved there wasn’t another two-year-old filly like her in action from Saturday with a memorable win in the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Final. No Angel Like Me wore down Lucy Who who led up strongly but couldn’t keep out the daughter of Archangel.
AMERICAN FEATURE
Bulldog Hanover (Shadow Play) is something of a phenom now, his legion of fans growing with every astounding victory. The excitement machine provided another highlight in the Dayton Pacing Derby of 2022. Despite the tough draw Bulldog Hanover proved too strong over the concluding stages, making easy work of the final furlong to win in fine style. Watch the effort below
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
The Canterbury Classic was run on Friday night as part of the premier card coming out of Addington. In the end the feature proved to be a fairly tame affair with some soft sectionals enabling leader B D Joe (Roll With Joe) to sprint home and defy his nearest challenges in Spankem and Self Assured.
We’ll be back with more race replays in seven days time
