On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
CANADIAN FEATURE
In Woodbine Mohawk action Nicholas Barnsdale reported on the Preferred 2 win of Wheels On Fire at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday. it marked a return to form in the grade for the Richard Moreau trained runner, a performer that now has 41 career wins.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
The Methven Cup was run on Sunday with the grass track feature bringing together one of the strongest grass track fields in recent memory. A strong mid-race tempo meant those just off the speed had their chance late and that’s a chance that Smiffy’s Terror and Korbyn Newman took, mastering Self Assured late to claim a big win at a big price.
