On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 31st of October)
AMERICAN FEATURE
“The Battle of The Millionaires” as it was touted, took place at The Meadows on Friday with both Backstreet Shadow (Shadow Play) and Sintra taking their place in the Open field. Watch as these two titans of the track clash below.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on the major Breeders Crown action out of Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday. While there were plenty of great winning efforts we’ll go back to the Bulldog Haonver well again – we just love seeing him fly! Watch as he proves simply too strong in the Open Pace.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
The leap To fame has already been established for this star of the track. The Breeders Challenge Final for three-year-old colts and geldings played out at Menangle last week with Leap To Fame blazing around in record time to score a great win. Watch as the progressive sort lowers the mark.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
It’s some of the best scenery you’re likely to see on the race track anywhere. Bruce Stewart reported on the Kaikoura Cup on Monday at South Bay Racecourse. Alongside the views the Arna Donnelly trained Kango did enough to take home the major silverware. Watch the splendid display of pacing against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
We’ll be back with more replays of the week in seven days time
