On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AMERICAN FEATURE
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on Western Canada Pacing Derby harness racing elimination racing from Centruy Mile last Saturday. Among those to impress was the flying Joe Rich. A 1.54.1 time proved too slick for his race rivals. Watch the effort below.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Amanda Rando reported on 2022 Inter Dominion Heat action out of Ballarat on Saturday night. Bolt For Brilliance, at his best a brilliant trotter, showed he’ll be hard to beat in the trotting series with an arrogant win. The Kiwi trotting away from them late to cement himself as one of the favourites for the overall trotting series title. Watch the concluding stages here.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
Bruce Stewart covered the $100,000 Group One ‘What The Hill’ Woodlands New Zealand Trotting Oaks on Friday last week. The feature provided something of an upset (at least on the tote) with a Northern raider in Con Grazia Love proving too tough over the concluding stages. The impressive win coming at the expense of Hidden Talent and Paramount Empress. Watch the exciting finish below.
We’ll be back in seven days time with more race replays of the week
