On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 9th of May)

AMERICAN FEATURE

MGM Northfield Park was home to a world record on Sunday when Eye Ofa Tiger As let rip completing a 1.52 victory. The previous record by an aged gelding trotter was held by Smoking Jet.

CANADIAN FEATURE

Nicholas Barnsdale reported on the Grey Sea victory at Century Downs on Saturday. A new lifetime mark was good enough on this occasion and exteneded a good run of form as the mare has won her last three.

EUROPEAN FEATURE

Joviality took out the amazing Drottning Silvias Pokal on the 6th of May, proving too strong for race rivals at Aby in the 1,000,000SEK, 2140 meters autostart feature. Kayla Westwood was a fast closing second with O’Mara Zon travelling into third place.

NEW ZEALAND FEATURE

Anything Goes fast to wn! The Listed Betavet Uncut Gems Classic took place on Friday night at Addington. The now Purdon trained son of American Ideal was recently purchased by American owners. Watch the replay below. Bruce Stewart reported on the performance for Harnesslink.com
