On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AMERICAN FEATURE
It’s about history at the Battle of Lake Erie at Northfield Park. Lochinvar Art and Lauren Tritton combined in a memorable performance to claim the title in fine fashion after swining wide on the track over the concluding stages and holding off challengers in the run home. Kimberley Rinker reported on the effort.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on some of the elimination efforts from Woodbine Mohawk Park last week as the Armbro Flight, Fan Hanover Stakes and Pepsi North America Cup fields were finalized. Bella Bellini was one of those that impressed on the card, making easy work of the Ambro Flight elimination.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
Bruce Stewart reported on the strong Invercargill win of Billy Bootit last week. The race was an interesting one given the leader made sure of a strong tempo, making for a large lead going into the final 1000m. Watch the replay below.
We’ll be back in seven days time with more race replays of the week.
