On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 17th of July)
AMERICAN FEATURE
The Meadowlands Pace took place last week and it proved one way traffic over the concluding stages with Confederate leading the charge to the line to claim the major feature. Nothing could stick with the son of Sweet Lou late as the impressive star clocked in at 1.47 to take the title.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
A number of features took place at Albion Park last week but it was the effort of Leap To Fame that caught most of the headlines with the progressive type turning heads once again, producing a big sprint late from off the pace to claim the title and have people talking about his place in harness racing history. John Dunne reported on the feature here.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale covered the action out of Century Downs last week with Samba Beat matching to his own… A 1:51.4. effort was good enough to triumph over a smart filed that included the in-form Outlaw C My Shadow.
We’ll be back in seven days time with more race replays of the week
