On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays of the Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AMERICAN REPLAY
Steve Wolf reported on the feature $450,000 131st Kentucky Futurity for three-year-old trotters Sunday from the Red Mile on Sunday. In the end a smart late drive and a surge saw Tactical Approach take the feature in a tight affair after taking a rails run throughout the home stretch. You can watch the 1:52. win below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Nicholas Barnsdale covered the Ontario-sired Autumn Series racing last week with Stonebridge Comedy being one of those to impress at The Raceway at the Western Fair District. A 2:01.4 enough to off Irish Dreamer and Teasin who rounded off the top three positions.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Bruce Stewart reported on the Methven Cup on Sunday with the grass track feature going the way of the Brent and Tim White trained American Me. The grass track Cups are always competitive affairs and you can watch the distance feature on the green stuff below.
