On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays of the Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

CANADIAN REPLAY

Everybody likes seeing a grey horse fly to victory and Nicholas Barnsdale highlighted one such flyer recently when Grey Sea produced a winning turn at Fraser Downs on Thursday. The 1.54 enough to see off race rivals and bring up win #18. Arrhythmic Dream and B On The Hunt made up the trifecta.

AMERICAN REPLAY

Harnesslink reported on the rich Kentucky Sire Stakes Finals out of The Red Mile on Sunday with a huge race presented with over $3 million in stakes up to be won. Among the most competitive of the races to be decided was the $400’000 Kentucky Championship Series 3YR-Old Colts and Geldings Final-Trot . In the end Dame Good Time (Chapter Seven) proved too strong for race rivals, scoring a 1.50.2 victory over one of the favored runners in Karl. Watch the major race action below.

NEW ZEALAND REPLAY

Bruce Stewart covered the $40,000 G3 Jasmyn’s Gift Fillies and Mares Stakes from Oamaru on Sunday with a memorable win coming from Ahora Kenny from the Phil Williamson stable. The win was fitting given the name of the race with a direct connection also coming when Sheza Gift, daughter of Jasmyn’s Gift finished a fighting third. The winning time of 3-19.6 was a new race and track record.

Watch the tight finish below.
