On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

In Harnesslink Race Replays of the Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.

NEW ZEALAND REPLAY

Brad Reid reported on the G1 Christian Cullen on Friday night 0- and what a race it proved to be with a major upset taking place when the Tom Bamford trained Rakero Rocket made the most of the Addington passing lane to conquer race favourites Merlin and Don’t Stop Dreaming in the run to the line.

The $200’000 title and Gr1 success a major boost to the training fortunes of the young trainer.

CANADIAN REPLAY

Nicholas Barnsdale always has a nice angle for a story and on Friday he was able to report on another interesting narrative when La Couer Chapeau saluted after a long time out of the winning photo. After more than two years away from the winning feeling Friday become the night to rock the race rivals as Jody Jamieson took the mare to the front of the race, from there she held on to snare the win in 1.56.3.

The win came after 72 unsuccessful trips to the tracks in the past 24 months – some record to break!

AUSTRALIAN REPLAY

There’s a Locomotive on the track… and he’s on track for Inter Dominion glory. Tony Milanese reported on the last round of Inter Dominion heats on Saturday night with the son of Muscle Mass again proving his quality, scoring an impressive victory in an effort that’ll have put his rivals on notice – he’s here to win the championship final.
