Race replays of the week – The track by the sea shines once again

CANADIAN REPLAY

Nicholas Barnsdale reported on a milestone victory this week for Kelly Hoerdt. The driver picked up his 3000^th career driving victory when steering Holiday Shadow to victory in the 4^th of the day out of Fraser Downs on Friday. The winning effort and milestone came up in a time of 1.57.3 with a celebratory gesture topping it off as the duo crossed the line. Watch the milestone moment below.

AUSTRALIAN REPLAY

Not many horses have the sort of career Max Delight has managed to fashion out – but then Max Delight isn’t your average pacer. The evergreen star took out the Italian Cup from Menangle recently with a slick 1.49.6 enough to see off race rivals.  The latest wins adds to an already amazing career with Max Delight securing 31 wins from 124 race starts and $1.17 million to date for his connections.

NEW ZEALAND

It’s a major race on the NZ harness racing calendar for trotters – and everybody loves turning up and winning at the wonderful South Bay Racecourse. The South Bay Trotters Cups was contested on Monday with Bruce Stewart reporting on the feature under amazing blue skies at what must be one of the most picturesque racetracks in the world.

The result, with the win going the way of the Michael Purdon trained Mystic Max, was the favoured way with punters and a strong front-running performance solidified his standing as he heads towards the Dominion Handicap on Tuesday of this week.
