Queensland-based stallion A Rocknroll Dance rang in the new year with a bang with a winning treble at Albion Park and country cup harness racing winners in Victoria and New Zealand.

A Rocknroll Dance’s winners at the Albion Park midweek meeting were smart three-year-old English Dance (1:56.2), Bee Gee’s Best (1:55.6) and Rocknroll Classic (1:53.2), the last named lifting his stake earnings over the $150,000 plateau.
Comeback pacer Curly James led throughout to beat a handy field in the $35,000 Cobram Pacing Cup to complete a double for his sire and bring up his ninth win from only 18 starts. Earlier in the day Curly James’ three-year-old stablemate Rocknroll Gig outfinished his rivals to win in 1:57.3.

In NZ, talented A Rocknroll Dance gelding Franco Norton overcame a 20 metre handicap to capture the Cromwell Cup at Wyndham.

Other notable winners by the Somerset Farms sire were the Menangle victors Get Ready To Rock (1:54.9) and Our Money Rocks (1:55.9), Dance And Deliver (1:57), Dancing Finn (1:57.8) and Tux And Tails (1:59.8) and in America, Dontlikeitleave (1:51.4) and Zanetti (1:51.6).
