Always B Miki sires Breeders Crown harness racing treble

Always B Miki enjoyed the type of weekend that young stallions can only dream of.

He joined Somebeachsomewhere as the only other pacing sire to sire three of the four juvenile Breeders Crown in the same year.

It started on Friday night when Niki Hill and Monte Miki swept the two year old finals.

Niki Hill took control of the race in the second quarter when she reached the front.

From there she completely overpowered her rivals and won by over four lengths.

This was her seventh win in eight starts.

Monte Miki’s winning margin was a lot smaller, however the win was still super impressive.

After finding the front in the second quarter, Monte Miki led the field into the home straight.

He found himself headed off half way down the long Meadowlands straight, however he showed the same fighting qualities his father demonstrated in those many battles with Wiggle It Jiggleit many years ago.

At the line Monte Miki found himself a nose in front of second place finisher Gulf Shores.

Finally on Saturday Perfect Sting became the first male pacer to win both the two year old and three year old Breeders Crown finals since Artiscape.

After Perfect Sting took the lead early, David Miller elected to take a sit on the second favourite Charlie May.

As the field turned into the home straight, Perfect Sting popped out of the pocket and went on to win in 1:49.8.

For Perfect Sting he now has earnings of $1.8 million.

Test Of Faith clear winner in Breeders Crown

Art Major has sired his best filly ever from his final US crop.

Test Of Faith confirmed this status with a stunning win in the Breeders Crown 3YO Fillies Final.

Starting from barrier eight, Test Of Faith never saw the rail in the $600,000 final.

Despite this she kicked off cover and shot home to be a clear winner.

She now sports a record of 20 wins and 4 seconds from 24 starts for earnings of $1,505,239.

Plymouth Chubb continued his dominant run of form with a record breaking win in the Redwood Classic at Maryborough.

After stepping safely from the back line, the son of Majestic Son made a midrace move to the breeze where he relaxed beautifully.

As the field turned for home, Kerryn Manning let Plymouth Chubb go and he powered home to win in strong fashion.

The mile rate of 2:01.9 obliterated the previous race record by over two seconds.

Bred and raced by Gary Benson and Steven Hegyi, Plymouth Chubb is out of the In The Pocket mare Pocket Fantasy.

He has now had 10 starts for 9 wins and earnings of $102,530.

For Majestic Son it was his second winner of the time honoured Redwood Classic after Daenerys Targaryen won in 2013.

Bar Room Banta repeats in Breeders Challenge

A Rocknroll Dance – Barbara Livingston Photo

Bar Room Banta became a repeat NSW Breeders Challenge winner after a tough win in the Group 1 three year old final at Menangle.

After drawing the carpark, Bar Room Banta was three wide for the first half of the race before reaching the breeze.

From there he simply proved too strong for his rivals and he surged away from his rivals to win in 1:50.7.

Bred by Ray Cahill, Bar Room Banta is by A Rocknroll Dance out of the Christian Cullen Jerada Ace.

The win was his ninth and takes his earnings past $250,000.

A Rocknroll Dance continues to prove a stallion that gets winners at the top level.

Jawsoflincoln victorious in Golden Nursery

Jawsoflincoln (Art Major) led home an Alabar sired trifecta in the Group 3 SA Golden Nursey Final.

He found the front early and led the field through an even first half.

The ante was then upped with a 28.9 third quarter.

Jawsoflincoln rounded for home in front, but had to dig really deep to hold off Im Princess Bella (A Rockrnoll Dance) who was incredibly brave in defeat.

Art Jester (Art Major) finished well for third.

Bred by John Markham, Jawsoflincoln is out of the Presidential Ball mare Lincoln Room.

He was offered at the 2020 Sydney APG yearling sale where he was was purchased by Mick Lamond for $14,000.
