A sensational race horse with the roots for greatness Bettor’s Wish finished his racing career with a mark of 1:47.3 and $2,781,240 in the bank.

His father, Bettor’s Delight needs no introduction as he is a world wide living legend in harness racing, producing some of the most outstanding horses the sport has ever known.

Bettor’s Wish

Bettor’s Wish himself is a classic example of greatness with a pedigree to die for and boasting a racing career that would impress even the most seasoned observers.

His stellar racing career was signed off with a 1:48.2 victory in the $340,000 TVG final at The Meadowlands beating an outstanding field that had total earnings of $16,729,819.

BETTOR’S WISH TVG FINAL REPLAY

In North America, Bettor’s Wish has two crops of racing age that have combined to win $5,261,356 so far with 55 Individual winners, three in 1:49.1 or faster and a further 12 in 1:52 or faster.

To date, his flagship performer is Better Is Nice (Thatsoveryverynice – Vintage Master), the dual Kentucky Sires Stakes Championship winner has a lifetime mark of 1:48, while bank rolling $1.223,809 by the end of his glamour boy season.

BETTER IS NICE REPLAY

Bettor’s Wish laid claim to being the leading first season pacing sire in 2023 from just 39 foals, and finished up as the leading 3yo pacing sire on average earnings per foal in 2024. His progeny have been very active on the track, clean sweeping the NJSS programs in consecutive two and three year old seasons. In the 2024 edition of the $486,111 Adios Final, Bettor’s Wish son Wish You Well (Sombeachsomewhere) was an unlucky fast finishing second behind Champion colt Captain Albano ($1,990,860). Wish You Well has amassed $598,054 in stakes to date.

In 2025 Bettor’s Wish returned home to the state of New Jersey at the illustrious Southwind Farm along side trotting greats, Walner, Muscle Hill and Tactical Landing to name a few.

In Australia, they say “out west is best” and that seems to be the case for Bettor’s Wish in Western Australia so far. There are a total of 28 debut two year olds that have started to hit the track in public appearances and it would appear that he has a couple of rising stars already! Bettor’s Wish’s first Australian winner was Wishing Belle. The flashy Black filly was a $55,000 yearling sale purchase and is out of former outstanding Christian Cullen racemare Libertybelle Midfrew which won 19 races and $640,497. Wishing Belle’s first big win came in the $35,000 Gold Bracelet at Gloucester Park. Trained by Aiden De Campo, Wishing Belle drew away in the closing stages to win by just under two lengths, rating 1.56.3 over the 1730m which broke the race record of 1:56.5 set by Highview Heidi last year. She then followed this up with another impressive victory, marking her as one of the brightest young stars in the sport, when taking out the $50,000 2yo Champagne Classic. Wishing Belle has a record of 4 starts for 3 wins and a second placing while banking $77,219 to date.

It wasn’t long before Ma Petite Dame, another of Bettor’s Wish’s progeny, made her mark in the $125,000 APG Sales Classic for two-year-old fillies at Gloucester Park. In just her second start, the $65,000 APG purchase battled to the wire with fellow Bettor’s Wish filly Wishing Belle, winning by the barest of margins and proving her sire’s blood ran true. You could say Ma Petite Dame was destined for success, she is out of the Somebeachsomwhere mare Some Copper Beach who was a Group 3 winner herself and her dam Artistic Copper won the Sales Classic while leaving last years sales classic winner Copper Head Lady along with Group winner The Good Life. With her victory, Ma Petite Dame boasts a record of two starts for a win and a second placing, banking $73,643.

Bettor’s Wish progeny quinella $125,000 Classic

In New Zealand he was known for his impressive racing career with ex pat kiwi trainer Chris Ryder and Bettor’s Wish helped catapult New Zealand export, Dexter Dunn’s U.S.A driving career. Bettor’s Wish has 48 two-year-olds in New Zealand in 2025 his debut season. With the season just underway there is two race day winners already, Angelic Copy (Christian Cullen) and Secret Wish (Courage Under Fire). Angelic Copy is unbeaten in all three starts to date and Secret Wish, Chase A Dream’s little halfsister, won her second start last Friday night at Addington Raceway.

Dancingonmoonlight’s manager Sam Langrope who is in charge of Bettor’s Wish Down Under says, “It is still early days in this season but we have five qualified to race and about the same number turning out in learner’s workouts is encouraging for this time of year.”

With his progeny proving themselves on both sides of the Tasman Sea and in North America, Bettor’s Wish is a sire that is rapidly becoming a true commercial stallion.
