All You Need Is Me resting

Quality harness racing pacer All You Need Is Me (Captaintreacherous) has come a long way in a short time but she won’t run in Friday’s G1 Magness Benrow Sires’ Stakes Three Year Old Fillies Championship at Alexandra Park.

“In general the battery’s a wee bit flat so we’ll put her aside for a month or two and restart again later in the season,” co-trainer Cran Dalgety said. “She just peaked a few weeks back and she’s done a lot of miles. She’s a big, tall filly.”

At her last start she was laying in badly and driver Carter Dalgety was unable to drive her to her ability.

“She went through a real seasonal patch a day later as well.”

Bred in the purple by Captaintreacherous out of Adore Me, the stable was initially luke warm about her ability. But a trip to Nelson sharpened her up and from her first seven starts she was only beaten once by Ruby Roe at Winton. On the way through she won the G2 Ladyship Stakes and G1 Northern Oaks and banked $153,700.
