In the past Allstars stable has dominated many of the richest age group harness racing classics as is the case of the Alabar Classic at Alexandra Park where they’ve won seven of the last nine.
This year Mark and Nathan Purdon will present a three prong attack which will be led by Chase A Dream (Captaintreacherous) who draws barrier three.

The three year old gelding drew wide at his last start and driver Natalie Rasmussen pushed the go button early to take up the role of pacemaker.
“It’s something you don’t want to be doing with him every week because he’s got a lot of big races in the coming months. I’d be a little bit surprised if she does the same thing, but in saying that he’s good enough to be driven in any way,” Nathan said.
Vessem (Vincent) draws on the outside of his stablemate at barrier four.

“He’s a horse that going really well without any luck. It wouldn’t surprise me that one day with the right draw, an economical trip and some good luck he’d be good enough to be right there. Carter (Dalgety) takes the reins, and the horse is very fast off the gate if he chooses to put him into the race early, or he can be taken back and come with one run. He just needs a little bit of luck the poor guy.”
The third Allstars runner is Major Hot (Art Major). He draws the outside of the front row and will be handled by Tony Herlihy.

“He’s a horse that keeps getting better and better. He’s very fast and ideally best driven like that and saved up for one run, especially in this company. If he got the right trip I think he could run over the top of anything in this race.”
Purdon labelled Major Hot as the horse to have a bet on at better odds.
“If there’s a fast first 600 metres in the race, he’s one that could get over top of them late.”
Later in the programme the stable lines up Treacherous Baby (Captaintreacherous) who’s favoured by a big drop back in class. She draws wide at seven for the 1700 metre trip and will be handled by Rasmussen.
She finished third at her last start behind We Walk By Faith and Duchess Megxit.
“If she can replicate that sort of form she’s got be a pretty strong chance I would think.”
