With fellow harness racing countrymate undefeated Majorca N a late scratch, Amazing Dream N had little trouble in winning her USA debut Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
The outstanding millionairess from New Zealand, Amazing Dream N was the fan favorite at overwhelming odds of 1/5 in the 12th race $31,500 Mares Open Pace.
The race began with Dbldelitebrigade N and driver Tim Tetrick shooting out to the early lead as Amazing Dream N. It took until the opening quarter mile in :27.4 before driver Todd McCarthy was able to clear to the lead with Amazing Dream N.
From that point on McCarthy and Amazing Dream N held the field at bay as they passed the half mile in :56.2 and the three-quarters in 1:24.
Then down the stretch Amazing Dream N had no real challenges as she went on to win with ease by two and one-quarter lengths in 1:51.1. Annabelle Hanover (David Miller) was second with A Better Game (Yannick Gingras) third.
AMAZING DREAM N REPLAY
A career winner of more than $1,034,000 and now 25 lifetime wins, Amazing Dream N hails from New Zealand. She is trained by Linda Toscano for owners Enviro Stable, Richard Gutnick, Thomas Pontone and Joseph Lozito, Jr. A six-year-old mare by Bettor’s Delight, Amazing Dream N paid $2.40 to win.
āI figured it was best to press on and keep her involved,ā said McCarthy about his decision to move to the front. āIt was good to get a breather in that second quarter. She raced super and I couldnāt be happier. Iām still learning a bit about her. When I asked her, she gave me what I wanted.ā

With a powerful blast to the lead by the half mile, Hillexotic and driver Yannick Gingras let no one pass them by as they went on to win the $34,500 Open Trot at the Meadowlands Saturday.
The seventh race feature saw Angel Nation (Tyler Miller) leave from post eight and get to the front with Double Account (David Miller) grabbing the two-hole trip. They went to the opening quarter in :27.3.
Gingras then went on the attack with Hillexotic and they cleared by the half mile in :56. Yanks Dugout (Joe Bongiorno) started up first over as they raced by the three-quarters in 1:24.
Coming down the stretch it was all Hillexotic and Gingras, scoring with ease by one and one-quarter lengths in 1:51.2. Chin Chin Hall (Dexter Dunn) was second with Lovedbythemasses (Tim Tetrick) third.
HILLEXOTIC REPLAY
It was a lifetime mark and second straight win in three starts this year for Hillexotic. The five-year-old gelding by Muscle Hill is trained by Ron Burke and owned by Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi and Phillip Collura. He paid $4.60 to win.
