Cambridge trainer Arna Donnelly is excited about Cup Day at Addington on Tuesday and feels her three runners are all in good shape for harness racing’s big day.
Le Major (Art Major) draws favourably for Donnelly in the Woodlands Stud Sires Stakes Final. He came home nicely at his last start finishing fourth.
Since that run Le Major has been to the trials and Donnelly says the horse has come on since.
She says the trip south has really ‘made’ Le Major.
In the $750,000 IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup Arna lines up Kango (American Ideal) and was lucky to get barrier six for the talented six year old.
Kango’s trip to Australia didn’t go well but she says Kango is in a good place now.
The stable lines up Jolimont (Sweet Lou) in the Hydroflow Mobile Pace in Race Two. He gets a second line draw and will be relying on a magic drive from David Butcher.
