Bird Parker, a triple millionaire harness racing son of Ready Cash and a member of the Haras Des Trotteurs’ sire roster in Victoria, produced the winner of the 120,000 euros Prix de Bretagne in Hussard du Landret at Vincennes, Paris recently.
The classic was the first qualifying race for the rich Prix d’Amerique to held in January.
The six-year-old mare stormed down the middle of the track to defeat the 2023 Prix d’Amerique winner Hooker Berry in a 1:55.4 rate for 2700 metres.
She has won nine of her 53 starts for 761,760 euros.
Brilliant four-year-old Aroha Koe put an exclamation mark on a super weekend for champion sire Love You when he downed a top field in the True Roman Free-for-all at Melton. It was the gelding’s ninth success for the season.
Love You was also represented by the 1:56.7 Menangle winner Affaire de Cover and a double at Banks Peninsula, New Zealand with Love Walked In and Native’s Inferno.
Leading percentage sire Used To Me picked up a ‘new’ credit in the four-year-old Normandy, who won his first race at Bendigo, and the repeat winner Fredrhys (Hamilton).
Used To Me, also a member of the Haras Des Trotteurs’ team, has sired 29 individual winners from 47 Australian bred starters from a total of 60 foals of racing age
