Cambridge harness racing trainers Andrew and Lyn Neal are heading to Alexandra Park on Thursday night confident of bold performances from both of their runners.
Winnerās Time (Master Glide) heads into the Reharvest Handicap Trot (2200m) off the back of a last start victory at Cambridge Raceway earlier this month and his trainers are hoping for a repeat performance from the gelding.
āThe field is not overly strong, but there are a couple of John Dickieās that look quite good,ā Lyn Neal said.
āIt just all depends how he gets away and where he is positioned in the running.ā
Winnerās Time has been in good form since Andrew Neal was dislodged from the cart at Cambridge last month.
āIt was a super win last start,ā Lyn Neal said.
āHis run before that at Auckland (for third) was really good, he just got a bit squeezed in the finish. I am really rapt with him.
āWhen Andrew had the accident with him the start prior, he said he was feeling awesome.
āHe has just improved a lot lately.
āIt is Auckland and he is the last horse on the page, being off the unruly off the 10m, but I canāt see why he canāt acquit himself really well.ā
Neal will hop in the cart herself later on the card behind stablemate Run Forest Run (Orlando Vici) in the Wed Quiz Night At The Alex Trot (2200m).
The horse also heads into the race in good form, having placed in his last two starts.
āHe is a work in progress but I am very happy with him. I am expecting big things from him on Thursday night,ā Neal said.
āWe are going from the mobiles with him at the moment. He has had the one start from the stand and he is going to get there, his last trial he went away nicely, but we are just being very careful with him, he is just a little bit frail.
āIf he does everything right, he should just have too much speed for them.ā
