A lot of claims are made every year by various vendors about their yearlings which are being offered for sale at the annual round of the harness racing yearling sales.
Some bring a smile to your face when reality is bent out of all shape but every now and then you come across a screed about a yearling whose breeding just cannot be faulted.
We would defy anyone to find fault with the pedigree page of Lot 133 at this years Australasian Classic Yearling sale.
The yearling in question is Kharizma who is a daughter of the champion sire Bettor's Delight and is the first foal from the very talented Christian Cullen mare in Temepara Cullen 1:56.1 ($40,143)
Temepara Cullen is a daughter of Vicario who was the 2010/ 2011 Broodmare Of The Year.
Vicario's star performer was the full brother to Temepara Cullen in Stunin Cullen 1:54.1 ($1,493,716) whose 18 wins included a Hunter Cup, Great Northern Derby and a Ballarat Cup.
Vicario left six winners altogether including the very smart Coburg 1:56.8 ($201,312) who was the New Zealand four year old mare of the year in 2003/2004.
Coburg has already produced the smart two year old filly in Veste 1:57.1 ($106,024) who won the Caduceus Club Classic (Group 1)
Veste is by Christian Cullen making her a three quarter sister to Temepara Cullen
The third dam Burgundy Lass left the dual New Zealand Cup winner in IL Vicolo 1:56.7 ($1,580,948) and also the dam of Gotta Go Cullen 1:58.3 ($1,173,343).
So in one pedigree we have three millionaires within the first three dams and the dam of the filly to be sold is a 1:56 .1 full sister to one of those millionaires.
It just doesn't get any better than that and with Bettors Delight on the top line the package is complete.
Kharizma has as good a pedigree as you will find in the catalogue and from the video she looks a filly with a lot of presence to boot.
