Oamaru horseman Kaleb Bublitz and Rakauhauka trainer Clark Barron head to the Winton Harness Racing Meeting today with the hope of picking up a win or two.

In Race Two Bublitz is represented by quality three year old trotter The Merc (Royal Aspirations) who’s done most of his racing in age group features.

His last start was at Alexandra Park in the Sires’ Stake Three Year Old Trotters Championship in May where he over raced. He hasn’t been cited at any trials or workouts.

Barron also has a runner in Race Two with Majestic Challen (Majestic Son) starting from three on the unruly. Her manners let her down at Wingatui last Sunday.

In the SBSR Sires’ Stakes Three Year Old Fillies Southern Solstice, Barron has two runners – Miki’s Beauty (Always B Miki) and Raknruin (Sweet Lou).

Miki’s Beauty, having her first start since April ran on at Wingatui on Sunday. She gets a nice draw at two.

Last start winner Raknruin won her fourth race at Invercargill last month. She’s performed well on this track in the past.
