Oamaru horseman Kaleb Bublitz and Rakauhauka trainer Clark Barron head to the Winton Harness Racing Meeting today with the hope of picking up a win or two.
In Race Two Bublitz is represented by quality three year old trotter The Merc (Royal Aspirations) whoās done most of his racing in age group features.
His last start was at Alexandra Park in the Siresā Stake Three Year Old Trotters Championship in May where he over raced. He hasnāt been cited at any trials or workouts.
Barron also has a runner in Race Two with Majestic Challen (Majestic Son) starting from three on the unruly. Her manners let her down at Wingatui last Sunday.
In the SBSR Siresā Stakes Three Year Old Fillies Southern Solstice, Barron has two runners – Mikiās Beauty (Always B Miki) and Raknruin (Sweet Lou).
Mikiās Beauty, having her first start since April ran on at Wingatui on Sunday. She gets a nice draw at two.
Last start winner Raknruin won her fourth race at Invercargill last month. Sheās performed well on this track in the past.
Bublitz lines up first starter Danish Franco in the Southern Solstice (Always B Miki). The filly began life at Spreydon Lodge and is a recent addition to the Bublitz barn.
In Race Eight Barron fronts with Rakamick (Always B Miki). His form has been mixed and he starts from the inside on the second row.
