Kerryn Tomlinson is hoping to make the most of her opportunities in the sulky this week, starting at Young Quinn Raceway on Wednesday.

The junior driver takes a bumper book of drives over the next five days including several key horses from her boss Brad Williamson’s stable.

Williamson’s recent suspension has given Tomlinson a great opportunity which she plans to grab with both hands.

Though a little ironically in race 6 on Wednesday, it is another of Williamson’s horses that could pose the reinswoman’s biggest threat.

“Domination’s Call has been going super and he should be a good chance again, but Expensive Crumpet will be hard to beat as well,” Tomlinson said.

“She went a good race at Ashburton, she just had to work a bit hard in the middle stages – they ran a really fast quarter.”

“From the front line she should be right there.”

“But Domination’s Call is a really nice horse, he seems best if he is driven with one run.”

“He got home really good at Winton last week and hopefully he can do the same on Wednesday.”

Tomlinson also drives the Williamson trained Sweet And Sour in race 5.

The mare’s early manners have been costly recently, resulting in her taking no part in her last start at Winton and her being late-scratched from a prior outing at Cromwell.

Tomlinson is hopeful the pacer can do things right on Wednesday from what is a tricky draw in barrier 1 on the second row.

“Brad has made some changes to her hopples, so we are hoping she does things right.”

“She has got the ability there.”

“But it is all about the start with her, hopefully she will behave herself, because if she does she will be a good chance.”

The Williamson trained Mixed Faith broke on the home turn when prominent in a strong field of trotters at Winton last week.

Tomlinson is also confident she can feature with better manners in race 2.

“Brad has made some gear changes with her, too.”

“She has definitely got the ability to win if she was to trot away and do everything right.”

Robyns Shadow, who steps out in race 8, looks one of Tomlinson’s strongest drives outside of Williamson’s stable.

Though he hasn’t been in the best form, the pacer meets a field he can mix it with.

“I think he is not a bad chance, he had to do a bit much work last time which probably doesn’t suit him.”

“He has gone his best races from the back, so hopefully if he isn’t too far off them he can finish in the money.”

Tomlinson also drives Mach O’Melly who looks a possible Trifecta and First4 contender in race 1, as well as Santeria in race 3 and Jaffie J in race 7.
