Changeover winner in 1:49.3

 When the five-year-old The Mustang outfinished his rivals in a flying 1:49.3 at Menangle on Saturday night (March 5) he became the fourth sub 1:50 performer sired by the In The Pocket horse Changeover. 

It was the gelding’s 14^th win and lifted his stake tally to $134,179. 

Holy Basil NZ, a gelding by Changeover, made it seven wins from eight lifetime starts when he led from end-to-end in the Carick Cup. 

Endless, a winner at Wagga in 1:55.9, Overpowering (1:59.2, Globe Derby Park) and Sandoval NZ (Shepparton) were other recent Australian winners by Changeover. 

In New Zealand, he was represented by Zarias (1:58.3, Cambridge Raceway), while in America, Bronze Over NZ won again in 1:52.8 at Northfield Park, Ohio. 

Changeover stands at Burwood Stud on Queensland’s rich Darling Downs.
