Bettor’s Delight gelding Shan Noble finally made it back into the winners circle when he narrowly won the feature pace at Addington Raceway tonight for harness racing trainers Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen.
Shan Noble had plenty of form on the board going into the race, with a series of placings, but the consistent performer had not saluted the judge since the 7th October 2021.
“When he first stepped out of the 3yo racing into the intermediate grade he found it a bit tough,” driver Natalie Rasmussen said after the race.
“But he is a lovely horse with high speed and it turned out really well for him tonight.”
Shan Noble ran his final 800m tonight in a slick 55 seconds to beat The Falcon by half a neck with the back marker Classie Brigade running home well into third. Favourite for the race Laver made a mistake at the start and despite catching the field and leading for the last lap, he faded in the straight and ran last.
